Verify before you book
- Ask for the CSLB license number and look it up at cslb.ca.gov (ours is #1155388)
- Confirm general liability and workers' comp are active
- Check that the business name on the license matches the name on the invoice
- Read the 1- and 2-star reviews, not just the 5-star ones
Questions to ask on the estimate visit
- Will you pull a permit for this replacement? (Sacramento County requires one — a contractor who skips it is a red flag)
- Did you perform a load calculation, or are you matching the old system's tonnage?
- What's covered under labor warranty, and for how long?
- Are your techs employees or subcontractors?
